|Dan Hamann is a partner at Deacy & Deacy, LLP. He joined the firm in 1980 after having served as Law Clerk to the Hon. George M. Flanigan of the Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District. Dan received his BS.Ed. in 1975, and his J.D. in 1979, from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He was admitted to practice in Missouri in 1979. In his 35 years of private practice he has litigated many types of civil cases, among them legal malpractice defense, personal injury, contract disputes, and statutory actions. He has defended insurance companies, lawyers, railroads, rural electrical cooperatives, telephone companies, insurance agencies, health insurance companies, meat packing companies, and of course individuals. He is admitted to the bars of the Supreme Court of the United States, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri, the United States District Court for the District of Kansas, and the Missouri Bar. Dan is a member of the American Bar Association, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, and the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers. He is a multiyear nominee to Best Lawyers in America.
